Common Goods

Terms + Conditions

Last Updated: August 17, 2026

These Terms + Conditions govern your use of the Common Goods website and purchases made through Common Goods.

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms + Conditions and any policies incorporated into them by reference.

01
Products + Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to accurately display and describe the products available through Common Goods, including their appearance, materials, dimensions, features, and specifications.

Colors may appear differently depending on screen settings. Products made from natural materials—including wood, stone, and ceramic—may exhibit natural variations in color, grain, texture, or finish.

Minor manufacturing or packaging variations may also occur between production runs.

Products received should nevertheless materially correspond with the description provided at the time of purchase.

02
Pricing

Prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the website and may change without notice.

Applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other fees will be displayed at checkout where required.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing, inventory, product-description, or technical errors.

If an error materially affects an order already placed, we may contact you regarding the available options, including cancellation and refund where appropriate.

03
Orders

Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including inventory errors, pricing errors, payment problems, suspected fraudulent activity, shipping restrictions, or fulfillment limitations.

If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

04
Product Availability

Product availability may change without notice.

In rare circumstances, an item may become unavailable after an order is submitted.

If we're unable to fulfill an item, we may cancel and refund the affected portion of the order. Remaining available items may still be fulfilled.

Common Goods will not substitute a materially different product without customer approval.

05
Fulfillment

Common Goods operates using a distributed fulfillment network and may engage third-party warehouses, logistics providers, manufacturers, and other service providers to process and fulfill orders.

Products within the same order may be stored or fulfilled from different locations.

As a result, orders may be divided into multiple shipments to facilitate faster and more efficient delivery.

Separate shipments may:

  • Arrive on different dates
  • Use different carriers
  • Have separate tracking numbers
  • Originate from different locations
  • Arrive in different packaging

Customers will not be charged additional shipping fees solely because Common Goods elects to divide an order into multiple shipments.

06
Shipping + Delivery

Processing and delivery times displayed by Common Goods are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.

Delivery may be affected by carrier operations, customs processing, weather, holidays, inventory conditions, incorrect addresses, and other circumstances.

Some products may be fulfilled internationally and may therefore require additional transit or customs processing.

Nothing in these Terms limits shipping, cancellation, refund, or other rights available to consumers under applicable law.

07
Packaging

Packaging may vary according to product and fulfillment location.

Unless Common Goods-branded packaging is specifically included in a product description, products may arrive in standard manufacturer, product, warehouse, carrier, or protective packaging.

08
Returns + Refunds

Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to our Return Policy.

Customers must contact Common Goods before initiating a return to obtain the appropriate return instructions.

The address displayed on an original shipment may not be the appropriate return address. Products returned to an unauthorized or incorrect location may experience processing delays.

For standard change-of-mind returns, customers are generally responsible for return shipping unless otherwise stated or required by law.

Certain opened, used, personalized, final-sale, food-contact, hygiene-sensitive, or specifically designated products may be excluded from change-of-mind returns where legally permitted.

These restrictions do not limit applicable rights concerning defective, damaged, incorrect, unsafe, or misdescribed products.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.

09
Damaged, Defective + Incorrect Products

Customers should contact Common Goods promptly after discovering a damaged, defective, or incorrect product.

We may request reasonable documentation, including photographs of the product and packaging, to investigate the issue.

Where appropriate, Common Goods may provide a replacement, refund, or other remedy consistent with applicable law.

10
Cancellations + Changes

Orders may begin processing shortly after submission.

Customers wishing to cancel or modify an order should contact us as soon as possible.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee cancellation or modification after fulfillment has begun.

Nothing in this section limits cancellation rights provided by applicable law.

11
Third-Party Service Providers

Common Goods may use third-party service providers in connection with manufacturing, warehousing, fulfillment, logistics, payment processing, website operation, customer service, and delivery.

Information reasonably necessary to process an order may be shared with applicable service providers in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Our use of third-party service providers does not eliminate responsibilities Common Goods has to its customers under applicable consumer law.

12
Product Use + Safety

Products should be used only for their intended purposes and in accordance with any instructions, warnings, specifications, and care information provided with the product.

Customers should inspect products before use and discontinue use if a product appears damaged or unsafe.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

13
Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Common Goods name, branding, website design, original photographs, graphics, written content, and other original materials appearing on the website are owned by or licensed to Common Goods.

Such materials may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, or commercially exploited without authorization except where permitted by law.

14
Website Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep our website available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

We may modify, suspend, update, or discontinue website features where reasonably necessary.

15
Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Common Goods will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses resulting from use of our website or products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies consumer guarantees, warranties, remedies, statutory rights, or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or modified.

16
Privacy

Personal information collected through Common Goods is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy should be reviewed alongside these Terms.

17
Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes to our products, operations, fulfillment network, website, or legal requirements.

The updated version will be published on this website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
